Another day, another week, another notch on the belt

so as i wind, or is it wind, down the end of my second week working in a corporate environment, i realize that cubicles are kind of nice. I mean if i didnt have these crappy, makeshift walls, i might actually have to work! God Forbid! but alas, at last i have found my true calling. sitting in a cubicle while getting paid, well, to surf the web and pretend to work. oh how now brown cow? everyday i walk across the parking lot, around 11am to go get lunch in the cafeteria. it is nice to get there early that way i dont have to wait in line to get food... i only get 30 minutes for lunch... and although i do excel at inhaling food, i find lunch to be the fastest moving 30 minutes of my day.
life is alot like that movie "office space"... i get in to the office, usually late, praying that i dont see any one of my three bosses... so usually when i walk into the lobby, i stop at the coffee stand, so i can pretend to have been on time. When i make it up to my desk, on the second floor, after the elevator ride that is always just a bit too short, i log in to my compy, open my outlook, and then zone out. usually around 9:45 i start making it look like i'm working by starting to drink my coffee, which by this time has cooled off enough to chug, yet i take my time and pretend that it is still a bit too hot to drink.

so i still got four hours to go. at this point, i'd almost rather be sitting through a Rother lecture which was supposed to be a presentation by me, or reading the elitist, incendiary comments Griswold wrote about my lack-luster criticism of his own criticism on Mark Twain, his only non-Irish Idol and role model.
dang. another 3 hours and 55 minutes.... dang that winged chariot. i mean really, it is the 21st century, shouldn't time be flossing in a batmobile on Dubbs or something by now.... 3 hours 50 minutes.... that sounds about right, "when i hear time's batmobile hurrying near." 3 hours and 47 minutes... i think i'll buy a football team.

"i'd almost rather be sitting through a Rother lecture which was supposed to be a presentation by me" Haaa, indeed. And nice, finishing Floyd quote. Yeah, that's right, I got it.

What I initially wrote got erased, so screw it--I'M not retyping. Needless to say, it was damn clever.
